Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 1,0 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 1.0m networking cable is a one-meter Ethernet cord designed for reliable high-speed data transmission. Constructed with S/FTP shielding, the cable reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk to maintain signal integrity across networks. It terminates in standard RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to ensure consistent connectivity and improved conductivity between devices.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding isolates each twisted pair with foil and encloses the full cable with an overall braid, improving resistance to external noise sources and minimizing internal pair-to-pair interference. The Cat6 specification supports higher bandwidth and faster data rates compared with earlier categories, making the cable suitable for demanding network environments. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide corrosion resistance and stable contact performance over repeated insertions.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, laptops, and workstations to local area networks
• Linking network switches, routers, and patch panels in small office layouts
• Cabling within server racks or between rack-mounted equipment over short distances
• Home networking for streaming, gaming, and wired smart-home hubs

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded foiled twisted pair with overall braid)
• Length: 1.0 meter
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contacts: Gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Conductor type: Twisted pair copper conductors
• Suitable frequency range: up to typical Cat6 operational bandwidths

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port on your networking devices until the connector clicks into place. For optimal performance, avoid tight bends, kinks, or placing the cable near strong electromagnetic sources such as large motors or unshielded power cabling. When connecting patch panels or switches in a rack, route the cable to prevent stress on connectors and maintain tidy cable management.

Recommendations

For stable high-speed links, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for connections up to the specified length and pair it with compatible shielded network hardware to preserve the shielding effectiveness. Replace cables that show visible damage to insulation or connectors to avoid degraded performance.
