Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 15 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP networking cable 15m is designed for reliable wired network connections where performance and signal integrity are important. This 15‑metre cable uses S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk, and it is terminated with RJ-45 plugs with gold‑plated contacts to maintain low contact resistance and stable data transfer. Its blue jacket provides a clear visual identifier in structured cabling installations.

Advantages

S/FTP construction with an overall braid plus foil around each twisted pair provides improved protection against external interference compared with unshielded cables. Cat6 performance supports higher bandwidths and is suitable for Gigabit Ethernet networks. Gold‑plated contacts on the RJ‑45 connectors improve corrosion resistance and ensure consistent electrical contact over time. The 15 m length offers flexibility for desktop, rack or wall‑to‑wall connections without the need for additional couplers.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections in homes and small offices
• Connecting switches, routers, NAS devices and desktop PCs
• Structured cabling runs where shielding is required (near power lines or EMI sources)
• Temporary or permanent installations that require a 15 m reach

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individual pair foil)
• Connector type: RJ-45 male to RJ-45 male
• Contact plating: Gold‑plated contacts
• Length: 15 metres
• Color: Blue
• Suitable for: Up to Gigabit Ethernet speeds (1000BASE‑T) and typical Cat6 frequency ranges

How to use

Uncoil the ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP cable and route it along the desired path, avoiding sharp bends and compression points. Insert each RJ‑45 connector firmly into the corresponding Ethernet port until the latch clicks. Ensure both endpoints are connected to compatible network devices, power off sensitive equipment if performing large rewiring, and test the connection using network diagnostics or link LEDs to confirm proper operation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources such as transformers and mains power bundles. Use appropriate cable management to prevent excessive bending and maintain the integrity of the S/FTP shielding by avoiding cuts to the jacket. For long-term installations consider using strain relief at the connector ends and verify link speed settings on network devices to ensure Gigabit negotiation.
