Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 15m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 15m networking cable provides a 15-meter connection using Category 6 construction with S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) design. Equipped with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts, the cable is built to support high-speed Ethernet links while reducing electromagnetic interference. Its length and shielding characteristics make it suitable for extending wired networks across rooms, office zones, or between network equipment racks.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding minimizes crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity for gigabit and faster ethernet traffic. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance contact reliability and corrosion resistance to maintain consistent transmission quality over time. The 15 m length offers flexibility for cable routing in medium-sized environments without the need for additional couplers. The cable follows Category 6 performance parameters to support standard network speeds and reduced packet loss.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, switches and routers within homes or offices
• Wired gigabit Ethernet installations where EMI reduction is needed
• Patch runs between network cabinets and active equipment
• Streaming, video conferencing and file transfers demanding stable wired links

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 15 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Conductor arrangement: Twisted pair
• Typical applications: Gigabit Ethernet and LAN connections

How to use

Route the cable between network devices ensuring that bends are gentle and the cable is not pinched or tightly kinked. Insert RJ-45 plugs fully into the ports of your switch, router or network interface until the latch clicks to ensure a secure connection. If connecting across floors or through cable trays, allow slack at both ends and avoid running the cable parallel and close to high-power electrical lines to reduce possible interference. Test the link speed and connection status using network diagnostics or link LEDs on your equipment after installation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep cable runs within recommended Ethernet distances, avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force during installation, and route the S/FTP cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic noise. If permanent installation through walls or conduit is required, check local building codes and consider using appropriate mounting accessories or professional cabling services.
