Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 2,0m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 2.0m networking cable is a 2-meter Ethernet cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. Constructed with S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference, the cable uses RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to support stable connections and improved conductivity. The grey jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for professional and domestic installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding around the twisted pairs and an overall foil shield help minimize crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, supporting consistent signal integrity at higher frequencies. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance contact reliability and reduce corrosion risk. The 2.0 m length offers flexibility for connecting devices within a work area without excess cable slack. The cable is compatible with Cat6 network equipment, enabling Gigabit Ethernet performance where infrastructure supports it.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, laptops, and network switches within offices or home networks
• Cable connections between routers and access points for wired backbone or uplink links
• Wiring networked devices such as networked printers, NAS devices, and IP cameras
• Temporary or permanent workstation cabling where a 2.0 m length is appropriate

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (individual pair foil with overall braided or foil shield)
• Length: 2.0 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Connector plating: gold-plated contacts
• Color: grey
• Typical supported speeds: up to Gigabit Ethernet (subject to network equipment and installation)

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding Ethernet port on your devices until the locking tab clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and areas with high electromagnetic interference from power cables or heavy electrical equipment. For best performance, ensure connectors are fully seated and network settings on connected devices are configured for the intended link speed. When disconnecting, press the connector tab before pulling to avoid damaging the plug.

Recommendations

For optimal signal integrity, avoid running the cable parallel and in close proximity to mains power lines. Use the 2.0 m length for tidy workstation connections; if a longer run is required, select a longer-rated Cat6 cable. Periodically inspect connector contacts for debris or damage and replace the cable if shielding or jacket integrity is compromised.
