Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 3.0m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 3.0m networking cable provides a 3.0 meter connection with S/FTP shielding designed to reduce electromagnetic interference and support stable high-speed data transmission between devices. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold, the cable ensures reliable contact and improved conductivity for Ethernet networks, making it suitable for home and office installations where consistent performance is required.

Advantages

The cable’s S/FTP construction combines an overall foil shield with individually foil-shielded twisted pairs to minimise crosstalk and external interference, supporting better signal integrity over the full length. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors enhance contact reliability and resist corrosion, while the 3.0 m length offers flexible placement between network devices without excessive slack. The Cat6 specification supports higher frequencies and data rates compared with earlier cable categories, making it suitable for demanding network environments.

Suitable for

• Wired connections between PCs, switches, routers and networked peripherals
• High-definition streaming and online gaming requiring low latency
• Small office and home office (SOHO) network installations
• Connecting network-enabled media players, NAS devices and printers

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 3.0 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Suitable frequency range: up to Cat6 standard frequencies
• Cable construction: twisted pairs

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device and the other connector into the corresponding port on your router, switch or modem. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure physical connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and kinks along the cable run and keep the cable separated from sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as large power transformers or unshielded mains wiring.

Recommendations

For consistent Gigabit-class performance, keep cable runs within recommended lengths for structured cabling and avoid tight bundling with power cables. Inspect connectors periodically for debris and ensure the gold-plated contacts remain clean. When routing the cable through walls or conduits, verify compliance with local building and fire-safety regulations and select appropriate installation methods or protective conduits.
