Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 3 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 3m networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. Constructed with S/FTP shielding and finished in grey, the cable features RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain stable connections and reduce signal loss. Its 3 meter length offers a balance between reach and cable management for desktop setups, network switches, routers and wall ports.

Advantages

Shielded S/FTP construction minimizes electromagnetic interference and crosstalk for improved transmission integrity over Cat6 performance ranges. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts provide corrosion resistance and consistent contact quality. The cable’s flexible outer jacket and standardized termination ensure compatibility with existing Ethernet ports and straightforward installation without adapters.

Suitable for

• Wired connections between PCs, laptops and network switches
• Connecting routers or access points to wired networks
• Small office and home office (SOHO) network setups
• Audio-over-IP, video streaming and online gaming where stable bandwidth is needed

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 3 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Outer jacket color: Grey
• Conductor type: Twisted pair copper conductors

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the Ethernet port of your device and the other end to a router, switch or wall outlet. Ensure both ends click into place to confirm a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp edges that could damage the jacket or internal conductors. For optimal performance, keep the cable separated from high-voltage power lines and large sources of electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

Use the cable within its rated bend radius and avoid repeated flexing in the same area. For installations requiring longer runs or higher performance over greater distances, consider higher-category cables or fiber solutions. Inspect connectors periodically for dirt or corrosion and replace the cable if physical damage is observed.
