Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 5m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP networking cable, 5m in length, is designed for stable high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. It features full foil and braided shielding (S/FTP) to reduce electromagnetic and crosstalk interference and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors for consistent contact and corrosion resistance. The cable supports Gigabit Ethernet and is presented in a green jacket to integrate into modern setups while remaining easy to identify among other cables.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to provide improved noise immunity compared with unshielded or partially shielded cables. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs improve signal transfer and reduce oxidation over time, helping to maintain reliable connections. The Cat6 specification supports higher data rates and tighter performance tolerances than Cat5e, making the cable suitable for demanding network environments. A 5 meter length offers flexibility for typical desktop, router-to-switch, and wall outlet connections without excess slack.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections between switches, routers, and network devices
• Wired home networks for streaming, gaming, and remote work
• Office cabling for desktops, printers, and VoIP phones
• Structured cabling runs in server rooms with moderate length requirements

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 5 meters
• Cable color: green
• Intended use: Ethernet data transmission up to Gigabit speeds

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (router, switch, PC, or modem) and the other end to the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp edges; maintain gentle curves and avoid stretching. For installations in shielded environments, ensure proper earthing of connected equipment to maximize the benefits of S/FTP shielding.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel to power lines for extended distances and keep bend radius greater than four times the cable diameter. Use when reliable Gigabit connections are required and replace if connector damage or visible cable wear appears.
