Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 7,5m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 7.5m networking cable provides a reliable wired connection for high-speed data transmission over a 7.5 meter distance. Constructed to Cat6 specification with S/FTP (shielded foil around each pair plus an overall braid) this cable reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting stable performance for demanding network environments. The fitted RJ-45 plugs feature gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance, making the cable suitable for repeated insertions and long-term use in home and office installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding offers enhanced protection against external interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk compared with unshielded cables. Cat6-rated construction supports higher bandwidth and improved signal integrity for applications such as gigabit Ethernet. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts help maintain low contact resistance and reduce oxidation over time. The 7.5 meter length provides flexibility for connecting devices across medium distances without excess cable slack.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections between routers, switches and desktop devices
• Wired connections for gaming consoles, smart TVs and media players
• Office network runs and structured cabling within small to medium workspaces
• Home office setups requiring reliable, low-latency wired links

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (foil around each twisted pair plus overall braid)
• Length: 7.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts

How to use

Connect one end of the cable to the RJ-45 port of your network device (router, switch, PC or media device) and the other end to the corresponding port on the second device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it away from high-power electrical cables or sources of electromagnetic interference to preserve signal quality. For rack or wall installations, secure the cable with suitable clips or ties without compressing the jacket.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable for gigabit or lower-speed Ethernet links within its specified length. Avoid running the cable in parallel with mains power lines; if shielding is required due to a noisy environment, verify that both connected devices and patch panels support shielded cabling to maintain grounding continuity.
