Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks SP712-SLB blauw 2m Cat6 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks SP712-SLB Blue 2m Cat6 U/UTP networking cable is a 2‑metre Ethernet cable engineered for reliable high‑speed data transfer. Complying with Category 6 specifications and using U/UTP construction, the cable provides stable performance for gigabit networks and reduces electromagnetic interference in mixed-signal environments. The cable is terminated with standard RJ‑45 plugs featuring gold plating on the contacts to support consistent conductivity and resist corrosion. The blue jacket offers clear visual identification in structured cabling runs.

Advantages

The Cat6 specification supports higher bandwidth and improved signal integrity compared with lower categories, enabling robust performance for data, voice and video traffic. The U/UTP (unshielded twisted pairs with an overall unshielded jacket) design balances flexibility and interference reduction without bulky shielding. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 contacts enhance contact reliability and long‑term conductivity. The 2 m length is suited for short patching between devices or linking wall outlets to equipment with minimal excess cable.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, laptops and network switches within home or office desks
• Patch connections between wall outlets and network equipment in structured cabling
• Linking gaming consoles, media players or smart TVs to a wired network for stable streaming
• Temporary or permanent short-range connections in server rooms or network closets

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Length: 2 m
• Construction: U/UTP (unshielded overall, unshielded twisted pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Color: Blue

How to use

Insert each RJ‑45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices until the latch clicks, ensuring a secure connection. Use the 2 m cable to connect devices that are near each other, such as a computer to a switch, a router to a modem, or a media player to a TV. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it away from strong sources of electromagnetic noise when possible. Verify link status on network indicators or device settings after connection.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid tightly coiling the cable or subjecting it to repeated pinching. When installing in structured cabling, maintain recommended bend radii and avoid running the cable parallel and close to mains power cables to reduce potential interference. Replace the cable if connectors show visible wear or if link reliability degrades.
