Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks SP715-SG groen 5m Cat6 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks SP715-SG Green 5m Cat6 U/UTP is a 5‑meter Ethernet patch cable designed for reliable wired network connections. It uses Category 6 wiring to support high-speed data transfer and features U/UTP construction with an unshielded pair core and an overall unshielded jacket. Both ends have RJ‑45 plugs with gold‑plated contacts to maintain signal integrity and resist corrosion. The bright green jacket provides clear visual identification in cabling runs and rack environments.

Advantages

This Cat6 U/UTP cable provides consistent performance for Gigabit Ethernet and other high‑throughput applications within its category specifications. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 contacts improve conductivity and durability compared with non‑plated connectors. The 5 meter length balances reach and manageability for desktop, office, or server patching scenarios. Color coding simplifies cable management and reduces the chance of accidental disconnection during maintenance.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches, routers and access points within offices and homes
• Patching between network equipment in racks and wall outlets
• Short to medium cable runs where Cat6 performance is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Length: 5 meters
• Conductor arrangement: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pairs, unshielded overall)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold‑plated contacts
• Jacket color: Green
• Typical use: Ethernet networking up to Cat6 performance

How to use

Insert each RJ‑45 plug firmly into the respective device ports until the latch clicks into place. Ensure connections are made while devices are powered off if recommended by the equipment manufacturer, then power on and verify link/activity LEDs on network devices. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and pinch points; maintain service loops where appropriate to facilitate moves and changes. For patch panel or wall outlet use, ensure proper labeling and color coding consistent with your network documentation.

Recommendations

Use this cable for in‑building horizontal runs and equipment patching where Cat6 performance is sufficient. Avoid running alongside high‑voltage power lines to minimize potential interference, and replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show visible damage to preserve signal quality.
