Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks SP725-SLG groen 15m Cat6 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks SP725-SLG Green 15m Cat6 U/UTP networking cable is designed for reliable wired Ethernet connections in home and office environments. This 15-metre cable uses Category 6 specifications to support high-speed data transmission and reduced crosstalk. The cable is finished in a vivid green jacket and terminated with RJ-45 plugs featuring gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance.

Advantages

The Cat6 construction provides performance suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and supports higher frequency signals compared with lower category cables. U/UTP shielding reduces external electromagnetic interference without adding individual pair shields, maintaining flexibility and ease of routing. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance signal transfer and long-term durability of the connectors. The 15 m length offers extended reach for network devices while the colored jacket helps identify and organize cabling runs.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, laptops, and workstations to switches and routers
• Wiring networked printers, NAS devices, and media players
• Patch panel to switch connections in small office or home rack setups
• Temporary or permanent cabling where length and visual identification are needed

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Shielding type: U/UTP (overall braid or foil with unshielded twisted pairs)
• Length: 15 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Color: green jacket

How to use

Ensure both network devices are powered off or in a safe configuration before connecting. Insert the RJ-45 plug firmly into the device’s Ethernet port until it clicks. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp edges that could damage the internal pairs or shielding. For rack or patch panel installations, allow adequate slack and secure the cable with cable management accessories to prevent strain on the connectors. After connection, power devices and verify link status and network speed via device indicators or software tools.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid placing the cable alongside high-voltage power lines or sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Use the green color to label or separate network segments visually. If you require PoE or higher bandwidth applications, verify your network equipment supports the desired power and data rates; Cat6 cabling is commonly suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and many PoE classes.
