Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks SP725-SLY 15m Cat6 U/UTP geel

The ShiverPeaks SP725-SLY 15m Cat6 U/UTP Yellow networking cable is designed for reliable wired network connections where consistent data transfer and clear identification are required. This Cat6 cable supports typical gigabit Ethernet applications and is built with U/UTP construction to limit interference in standard office and home environments. RJ-45 connectors with gold plating provide corrosion resistance and stable contact, while the 15 meter length covers medium-range connections between network equipment, switches, routers and wall outlets. The bright yellow jacket improves cable routing and makes the cable easy to spot among multiple runs.

Advantages

The U/UTP shielding reduces external electromagnetic interference without adding bulky overall braid, keeping the cable flexible and easy to route. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors help maintain low contact resistance and long-term signal integrity. Cat6 specification ensures better performance than Cat5e for higher-frequency signals and improved crosstalk characteristics. The visible yellow jacket simplifies identification and organization during installation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Wired gigabit Ethernet connections in offices and homes
• Patch panel to switch or switch to workstation runs up to 15 meters
• Temporary or permanent network installations requiring visible cable identification
• Environments where moderate EMI protection is needed without reduced flexibility

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Length: 15 m
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded pair with overall unshielded jacket and pair-level shielding arrangement targeting reduced interference)
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Conductor type: Copper conductors (solid or stranded as per standard Cat6 construction)
• Jacket color: Yellow
• Data rates: Suitable for gigabit Ethernet and typical Cat6 frequency ranges

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the network device (switch, router, or wall outlet) and the other end to the target device (computer, access point, or another switch). Ensure connectors are fully inserted and latched to establish a secure physical connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends, kinks and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. When running the cable through conduits or behind furniture, allow gentle bend radius consistent with standard networking practice to preserve signal integrity.

Recommendations

Use this cable for in-building horizontal runs up to 15 meters and for patching between equipment in racks or at workstations. Avoid direct exposure to extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, or mechanical stress. For permanent installations requiring plenum-rated or outdoor-rated jacket materials, select a cable with the appropriate jacket specification.
