Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks U/UTP Cat. 6 15m

The ShiverPeaks U/UTP Cat. 6 15m networking cable is a 15‑metre unshielded twisted pair cable designed for high‑speed Ethernet connections. The cable terminates with RJ‑45 plugs featuring gold‑plated contacts to maintain reliable electrical contact and reduce signal loss. Its white jacket provides a neutral appearance for residential or office installations while supporting performance levels typical for Category 6 cabling.

Advantages

This Cat 6 U/UTP cable supports high data rates suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and other high‑bandwidth applications. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 connectors improve conductivity and corrosion resistance, helping to preserve signal integrity over time. The 15‑metre length offers flexibility for typical room‑to‑room runs without requiring intermediate hardware. The white outer jacket is PVC and designed for standard indoor use where a discrete, clean look is preferred.

Suitable for

• Wired Gigabit Ethernet connections between switches, routers and end devices
• Connecting desktop PCs, NAS devices and network printers
• Residential and office LAN installations where a 15 m cable length is required
• Temporary or permanent cabling runs behind furniture, baseboards or cable channels

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6 (U/UTP)
• Length: 15 m
• Connector type: RJ‑45 male to RJ‑45 male
• Contact plating: gold plating on connector contacts
• Cable jacket color: white
• Cable construction: 4 twisted pairs, unshielded
• Typical use: Ethernet up to Gigabit speeds

How to use

Plug one RJ‑45 connector into the network port of a router, switch or modem and the other end into the Ethernet port of your computer, NAS or other network device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. When routing the cable, avoid tight bends with radii smaller than the cable diameter and prevent prolonged compression under heavy objects. For best performance keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources such as large motors or unshielded power cables.

Recommendations

For reliable network performance, verify both connected devices support the intended network speed and use Cat 6 cabling for runs up to the recommended maximum length for in‑room connections. Replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show visible damage. For installations requiring fire‑rated or outdoor cabling, select an appropriate cable type certified for those environments.
