DIGITUS DN-49207-SET 12U 540×400 mm is a compact network cabinet set designed to accommodate standard 19-inch rack equipment in small technical spaces. With a 12U mounting height and external footprint of 540×400 mm, the cabinet is intended for structured installation of switches, patch panels, routers and compact servers. The design supports tidy cable routing and secure mounting while saving floor and wall space in server rooms, wiring closets and office network points.

Advantages

The cabinet set provides standardized 19-inch mounting rails compatible with common rack devices and accessories, ensuring reliable mechanical support. Its 12U height and reduced external dimensions make it suitable for environments where space is limited yet professional rack mounting is required. The enclosure facilitates organized cable management and protects equipment from accidental contact while allowing ventilation and access for maintenance.

Suitable for

• Small server rooms and communication cabinets
• Office network installations and wiring closets
• Mounting patch panels, switches and compact rack-mountable devices
• Telecommunications points and edge network nodes

Key specifications

• Mounting height: 12U
• External dimensions (W×D): 540×400 mm
• Standard: 19-inch rack mounting
• Construction: enclosed cabinet set suitable for wall or floor placement (as applicable)
• Cable management: front and rear access for cabling and maintenance

How to use

Install the cabinet in a stable location with sufficient clearance for ventilation and access. Secure the cabinet to the wall or floor if required by the installation site and local regulations. Fit 19-inch rack equipment using the mounting rails, ensuring proper distribution of weight and using appropriate rack screws and cage nuts. Route power and network cabling through the designated access points, and leave space for airflow around heat-generating devices. Verify that installed devices are properly grounded and that power sources meet the connected equipment requirements.

Recommendations

Plan the layout of patch panels, switches and power distribution units before installation to optimize space and cooling. Use cable ties or dedicated cable management accessories to prevent strain on connectors and maintain accessible ports for maintenance. Regularly inspect airflow paths and mounting points to ensure secure operation and prolong equipment life.
