Netwerkswitch Cudy GS108 — 8-poorts Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000), zwart, 16 Gbit/s switchingcapaciteit

The 8-port Gigabit switch provides eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 ports for fast, non-blocking wired connections. It is designed to transfer large, bandwidth-intensive files and to integrate with Ethernet devices such as IP cameras, VoIP phones and Wi‑Fi access points for home, office and small business networks.

Advantages

The switch offers auto-negotiation on all RJ-45 ports for seamless compatibility with 10/100/1000 Mbps devices. IEEE 802.3x flow control in full duplex and backpressure in half duplex help reduce congestion and maintain reliable throughput. A loop alarm feature notifies administrators of network loops to prevent broadcast storms and service disruption.

Key specifications

• Number of ports: 8 x 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45
• Switching mode: non-blocking
• Flow control: IEEE 802.3x (Full Duplex), backpressure (Half Duplex)
• Loop detection/alarm: supported
• Typical applications: IP surveillance, VoIP, Wi‑Fi access point connectivity

How to use

Connect devices to the RJ-45 ports using standard Ethernet cables. The switch performs auto-negotiation and automatically configures port speed and duplex. Place the switch near connected devices and ensure proper ventilation. Use loop alarm indicators and monitoring tools to identify and resolve physical loop conditions.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, connect networked IP cameras, VoIP phones and Wi‑Fi APs directly to the switch with Cat5e or higher cables, and avoid creating unmanaged loops. Monitor traffic and enable flow control where supported to reduce congestion in busy networks.
