Netwerkswitch Cudy GS108D 8-poorts Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000), 16 Gbit/s switching, DC 5V, desktop, zwart

The Cudy GS108D network switch is an 8-port Gigabit Ethernet desktop switch designed for straightforward expansion of wired networks in home or small office environments. It provides eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 ports with auto-negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX, full-duplex operation and a switching capacity of 16 Gbit/s, supporting IEEE 802.3 family standards for reliable wired connectivity.

Advantages

The switch is plug-and-play with no configuration required, featuring Auto MDI/MDIX and per-port auto-negotiation to detect link speeds and adjust for compatibility. Its non-blocking switching architecture forwards and filters packets at full wire-speed for maximum throughput, while IEEE 802.3x flow control (full duplex) and backpressure (half duplex) help alleviate congestion. Energy-efficient technologies automatically adjust power based on link status and cable length to reduce power consumption.

Suitable for

• Connecting up to 8 wired devices in a home network
• Expanding wired connections in a small office
• Multimedia and HD video streaming
• File transfers and shared storage access
• Basic network segmentation for printers, IP cameras and PCs

How to use

Place the Cudy GS108D on a desk or other stable surface and connect its power adapter. Use standard Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cables to connect devices to any of the eight RJ-45 ports; the switch will automatically detect link speed and adjust settings, so no manual configuration is required. For optimal throughput, connect Gigabit-capable devices and use full-duplex links when supported.

Recommendations

To maximize performance, use Cat5e or Cat6 cables for Gigabit connections, avoid daisy-chaining multiple unmanaged switches where possible, and position the switch in a ventilated area to prevent overheating. For networks with heavy simultaneous traffic, consider segmenting traffic or upgrading to a managed switch if advanced QoS or VLANs are needed.
