Nextbase NBDVRS2RFCZ dashcam

The Nextbase Rear-View Camera (model NBDVRS2RFCZ) is a compact rear-facing camera designed to integrate with compatible Nextbase dash cams (322GW, 422GW, 522GW and 622GW) to record the road directly behind your vehicle. It uses a 30° telephoto lens to capture a view similar to the image in your rear-view mirror, recording details behind the car to help document tailgating and rear-end incidents. The camera connects to the main unit on the side of a compatible Nextbase front-facing dash cam and draws power via USB.

Advantages

The rear camera provides focused rearward coverage with a 30° telephoto lens that captures clear detail of vehicles and events behind you. Its compact black housing is lightweight (0.023 kg) and installs simply by clicking into the compatible Nextbase dash cam. Designed for seamless integration, it records in 1080p resolution when used with supported Nextbase systems and requires no separate display or GPS module.

Ensure the main unit is powered and the camera is secured in position so the lens looks directly through the rear window. The camera receives power from the dash cam via USB connection and recordings are managed by the primary Nextbase device. Check the dash cam settings to confirm rear-camera recording and resolution.

Recommendations

Mount the camera so the telephoto lens has an unobstructed view through the rear window. Regularly clean the exterior of the lens and verify the physical connection to the front dash cam to ensure consistent rear recording. Use within Nextbase-supported firmware and models listed for full compatibility.
