Oculair telescoop Baader Planetarium 2454624 zwart

The Baader Planetarium 2454624 eyepiece in black is an accessory designed to improve the optical performance of a wide range of telescopes. Engineered for clear, sharp imaging of celestial targets, this eyepiece combines robust mechanical construction with precision optics to deliver consistent viewing results for observers at different experience levels. Its compact design and standard barrel size make it compatible with common focuser systems and eyepiece holders.

Advantages

This eyepiece provides high-contrast, well-corrected images across the field of view while minimising typical optical aberrations. The solid black finish and durable housing offer resistance to handling and outdoor conditions. Precision-mounted optics maintain alignment and focus stability, supporting reliable performance during prolonged observation sessions.

Suitable for

• Visual planetary observations
• Lunar viewing and detail work
• Deep-sky object scanning at moderate magnifications
• Use with refractor and reflector telescopes with compatible eyepiece holders

Key specifications

• Color: Black
• Optical design: Multi-element, fully coated lenses for improved contrast
• Mechanical construction: Robust metal housing for stable mounting
• Compatibility: Standard astronomical eyepiece barrel size for common telescope focusers
• Field performance: Designed for clear edge-to-edge viewing with reduced aberrations

How to use

Install the eyepiece into the telescope focuser or eyepiece holder and secure it according to the focuser's locking mechanism. Allow the telescope to reach thermal equilibrium with the outdoor temperature before critical observations to ensure optimal image quality. Use the telescope’s focusing controls to achieve a sharp image, and make fine adjustments while observing to compensate for seeing conditions. When switching magnifications, remove or insert the eyepiece carefully to avoid contact with optical surfaces.

Recommendations

Handle the eyepiece by the housing and avoid touching lens surfaces. Clean optical surfaces only with appropriate tools and methods to prevent coatings damage. Store the eyepiece in a protective case or padded compartment when not in use to maintain alignment and finish.
