Oplader D-Link DCP-101/E 100W GaN snellader voor laptops en USB-C-apparaten

The D-Link DCP-101/E 100W GaN fast charger is a compact USB-C power adapter engineered to deliver up to 100 watts of power for laptops, tablets and smartphones that support USB Power Delivery. Its gallium nitride (GaN) architecture improves energy efficiency and reduces heat generation compared with traditional silicon chargers, allowing a smaller enclosure without sacrificing output. The unit is designed for daily use at home, in the office, or while traveling, providing stable voltage and current for rapid charging of compatible devices.

Advantages

The GaN technology enables higher power density and lower operating temperatures, which makes the charger smaller and lighter than equivalent-output silicon models while maintaining reliable performance. With a single high-power USB-C output, the adapter supports fast charging protocols and can deliver up to 100 W to a compatible laptop or stepped power for tablets and phones. The design focuses on safe charging with regulated output to reduce the risk of overcharging and to maintain efficient energy transfer.

Suitable for

• Laptops with USB-C Power Delivery support that require up to 100 W
• Tablets and 2-in-1 devices that accept USB-C charging
• Smartphones and mobile devices compatible with USB-C fast charging
• Travel use where compact, high-power chargers are needed

Key specifications

• Maximum output power: 100 W
• Output connector: USB Type-C
• Charging technology: Gallium Nitride (GaN)
• Compatibility: USB Power Delivery (PD) compliant devices
• Form factor: compact, single-port wall adapter
• Thermal behavior: reduced heat generation compared with silicon-based chargers

How to use

Connect a USB-C to USB-C cable (or a USB-C to device-specific cable) between the D-Link charger and the target device. Plug the charger into a standard mains outlet. The charger negotiates power delivery with the connected device and supplies the appropriate voltage and current up to 100 W. If the connected device requires less power, the charger will provide the lower safe level. Disconnect the cable after charging is complete and unplug the adapter from the outlet when not in use.

Recommendations

Use high-quality USB-C cables rated for the required power level to ensure safe and efficient charging. Avoid covering the charger during operation to allow heat dissipation. If charging a laptop or other high-power device, verify that the device supports USB Power Delivery and the necessary input wattage. Store the charger in a dry environment and disconnect from mains during thunderstorms or prolonged non-use.
