Optische Toslink-kabel ShiverPeaks 69014-1.5, 4,0 mm naar 3,5 mm, 1,5 m

ShiverPeaks 69014-1.5 Optical Toslink Cable is a 1.5 m digital audio lead featuring a 4.0 mm optical connector on one end and a 3.5 mm optical (Toslink-style) plug on the other. Intended for connecting devices with optical audio ports, this cable supports digital audio signal transmission between components such as TVs, soundbars, AV receivers and DACs. The optical design provides electrical isolation and reduces electromagnetic interference for reliable transfer of digital audio in home entertainment setups.

Advantages

The cable’s optical transmission eliminates ground loops and minimizes susceptibility to radio-frequency and electromagnetic interference, helping to maintain clear digital audio. Its 1.5 m length offers moderate reach for typical living-room and home-theatre installations. The 4.0 mm to 3.5 mm connector configuration allows compatibility between devices using slightly different optical plug sizes without requiring active adapters.

Suitable for

• Connecting TVs to soundbars or AV receivers via optical ports
• Linking CD players or DACs with optical outputs to amplifiers or receivers
• Home theatre setups where electrical isolation of the audio signal is desired
• Replacing or extending existing optical audio connections up to 1.5 m

Key specifications

• Cable type: Optical (Toslink) audio cable
• Length: 1.5 m
• Connector configuration: 4.0 mm optical plug to 3.5 mm optical plug
• Audio transmission: Digital optical signal
• Application: Home audio and AV systems
• Interference: Provides electrical isolation and reduced EMI/RFI sensitivity

How to use

Insert the 4.0 mm optical plug into the corresponding optical output or input on one device and the 3.5 mm optical plug into the matching optical port on the other device. Ensure both connectors are aligned with the port openings and push gently until they seat securely; avoid forcing the plugs. Verify that devices are set to use the optical audio output/input in their audio settings. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and pinching that could damage the optical fibre core.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector housings when plugging or unplugging. Keep the protective dust caps (if present) on unused connectors. Avoid tight bends and kinks; maintain a gentle bend radius to preserve signal integrity. If audio dropouts or degradation occur, check connectors for dust and alignment and confirm device settings for optical output format compatibility.
