Outdoor-patchkabel helos S/FTP Cat 6a 3,0 m – IP66 waterdicht, UV-bestendig

Outdoor patch cable helos S/FTP Cat 6a 3.0 m — IP66 waterproof, UV-resistant is a purpose-built outdoor network cable for short-distance external connections. The cable supports Cat 6a performance with S/FTP shielding to minimize electromagnetic interference and maintain reliable Gigabit and 10 Gigabit data transfer within Cat 6a specifications. An IP66-rated waterproof construction and UV-resistant outer jacket provide protection against rain, dust and prolonged sun exposure, making the cable suitable for exposed installations such as outdoor switches, security cameras and other network devices.

Advantages

The helos S/FTP Cat 6a outdoor patch cable delivers reduced crosstalk and better noise immunity through pair-level foil plus overall braid shielding. Its Cat 6a design supports higher bandwidth and improved signal integrity for demanding network applications. The IP66-rated sealing and a UV-resistant jacket extend durability in outdoor conditions, while the compact 3.0 m length provides a tidy, low-latency connection between nearby devices without excess cable slack.

Suitable for

• Connecting outdoor PoE switches to access points or cameras
• Short-range outdoor links between network devices on building exteriors
• Temporary or permanent installations where weather resistance is required
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where S/FTP shielding improves reliability

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6a performance class
• Shielding: S/FTP (pair foil + overall braid) for reduced interference
• Length: 3.0 m
• Environmental rating: IP66 waterproof protection against strong jets of water and dust ingress
• Jacket: UV-resistant outer sheath for prolonged sun exposure
• Data rates: suitable for Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet within Cat 6a limits
• Connector type: standard RJ45 outdoor-compatible plugs

How to use

Install the cable by routing it between devices, ensuring connectors are seated firmly in RJ45 ports. For outdoor runs, avoid tight bends and secure the cable with appropriate clips or ties designed for external use. Where the cable passes through walls or enclosures, use suitable grommets or weatherproof glands to maintain the IP66 level of protection at entry points. For power-over-Ethernet (PoE) devices check that the connected equipment supports the required power class and that connectors are fully engaged.

Recommendations

For long-term outdoor reliability, periodically inspect the jacket for mechanical damage and ensure entry points remain sealed. Avoid running the cable near high-voltage power lines to reduce potential interference and comply with local installation regulations when mounting or burying the cable.
