Patchkabel ShiverPeaks Helos Cat 8.1 0,25 m F/FTP dubbel afgeschermde netwerkkabel

ShiverPeaks Helos Cat 8.1 patch cable, 0.25 m, features an F/FTP double-shielded design engineered for high-frequency network links in confined installations. This short-length cable uses individually foil-screened twisted pairs plus an overall foil shield to reduce electromagnetic interference, supporting high-speed LAN and data center interconnects where Cat 8.1 performance is required. The cable is intended for direct patching between ports in server racks, switches and patch panels over very short distances while preserving signal integrity for demanding applications.

Advantages

The double-shielded F/FTP construction combines an overall foil jacket with individually screened pairs to provide enhanced protection against crosstalk and external electromagnetic disturbances. At 0.25 m length the cable minimises excess slack in rack environments and helps maintain tidy cabling layouts. Designed to meet Cat 8.1 performance, it is suitable for high-frequency transmissions and offers full copper conductors and gold-plated connectors to ensure reliable electrical contact and reduced signal loss.

Suitable for

• Short patching between switches, routers and server ports in racks
• High-speed LAN setups requiring Cat 8.1-rated links
• Data centre top-of-rack and patch panel interconnects
• Environments where EMI/RFI protection is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 8.1
• Length: 0.25 m
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil + individually screened pairs)
• Conductor: full copper
• Connector plating: gold-plated contacts
• Conductor gauge: AWG 26 (four pairs)
• Jacket type: low-smoke, halogen-free (LSZH)
• Wiring: 1:1 EIA/TIA 568B pinout

How to use

Insert the gold-plated RJ45 plugs into the corresponding ports on network switches, patch panels or devices, ensuring a secure latch click. Use this 0.25 m patch cable to connect adjacent ports in a rack or between closely spaced equipment to reduce cable slack. Avoid sharp bends near the connector strain relief and maintain the cable within recommended bend radii to preserve shielding and conductor integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance keep connections short and avoid routing the cable alongside high-voltage power lines. Use this Cat 8.1 F/FTP cable for short-range, high-bandwidth links where EMI protection and minimal latency are required. Inspect connectors for mechanical damage before installation and ensure ports are compatible with Cat 8.1 performance requirements.
