Patchkabel ShiverPeaks Helos F/FTP Cat 8.1 1,5 m — dubbel afgeschermd

ShiverPeaks Helos F/FTP Cat 8.1 patch cable, 1.5 m, is a double‑shielded Ethernet patchcord engineered for high‑speed short‑run connections in network cabinets and data center environments. The cable uses individually foil‑shielded twisted pairs inside an overall foil shield (F/FTP), providing enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Its construction supports Cat 8.1 performance levels for short‑distance links between switches, servers and patch panels.

Advantages

The double shielding (foil around each pair plus overall foil) reduces external EMI and pair‑to‑pair crosstalk, improving signal integrity in dense cabling environments. Gold‑plated connectors and full copper conductors ensure reliable contact and consistent electrical performance. A low‑smoke, zero‑halogen (LSZH) jacket minimizes hazardous emissions in confined spaces. The cable is designed for short, high‑bandwidth links where Cat 8.1 compliance and robust EMI protection are required.

Suitable for

• Short runs between switches and patch panels in data centers
• Connections between servers and top‑of‑rack switches
• High‑speed 25Gbase‑T and 40Gbase‑T local links
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference and crosstalk

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 8.1, F/FTP (individually shielded pairs + overall foil)
• Length: 1.5 m
• Conductor: full copper
• Wire gauge: 4 x 2 x AWG 26
• Connector plating: gold‑plated contacts (50 µin)
• Conductor layout: 1:1 wiring according to EIA/TIA 568B
• Jacket: LSZH (low smoke, zero halogen)
• Compatible transmission: 25Gbase‑T and 40Gbase‑T

How to use

Insert the RJ45 connector into the corresponding port on a switch, patch panel or server until the latch clicks. Use the 1.5 m length for short, direct connections in racks or between adjacent network components. Avoid sharp bends at the connector boot and do not exceed the recommended bend radius for Cat 8.1 cables to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. Ensure both ends are connected with the same 1:1 wiring standard for proper link establishment.

Recommendations

For best performance, route the cable away from large sources of electromagnetic noise and avoid tightly bundling with power cables. Verify link speeds and settings on network equipment to take advantage of 25G/40G capabilities, and inspect connector contacts periodically for cleanliness to maintain reliable connections.
