Pc-behuizing Fractal Design Era ITX midi tower carbon

Era is a compact SFF PC case combining understated design and technical flexibility. The Era ITX Midi Tower in Carbon features a sleek aluminium exterior with tempered glass and steel elements, supports ITX motherboards, and accommodates both SFX and ATX power supplies with adjustable mounting brackets. Despite its small footprint, the case accepts dual-slot GPUs up to 295 mm, offers support for 3.5" and 2.5" storage drives, and includes an 80 mm exhaust fan for quiet heat removal.

Advantages

The Era case provides professional-grade hardware support in a space-efficient chassis. Its removable radiator bracket accepts a 240 mm or dual 120 mm radiator for liquid cooling, while two included storage brackets each hold either one 3.5" HDD or two 2.5" SSDs. Airflow is optimized by an efficient chimney layout with five fan positions, pre-installed 80 mm Fractal Design SSR3 exhaust fan, and easy-to-clean nylon filters on top, sides and base. Tool-less side panels and a magnetic top panel enable quick maintenance, and a front USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port supports up to 10 Gbps data transfer and fast charging.

How to use

Install an ITX motherboard and choose a power supply type (SFX or ATX) using the adjustable PSU mounting brackets to optimize interior space. Mount storage drives onto the included storage brackets, then position the brackets in the case. For liquid cooling, attach the removable radiator bracket and secure a 240 mm or two 120 mm radiators as required. Install a dual-slot GPU up to 295 mm in length. Connect front-panel USB and power cables to the motherboard, and fit the magnetic top panel or the mesh/top insert according to your airflow needs. Use the tool-less side latches for easy access during assembly or maintenance.

Recommendations

For best thermal performance, use the included steel mesh top panel or the mesh insert with additional top fans, keep the nylon filters clean, and consider the 240 mm radiator option if planning for higher CPU cooling demands. When installing an ATX PSU, verify available clearance with your chosen GPU and cooling configuration.
