Pentax Papilio II 6.5x21 verrekijker - BaK-4 porroprisma, macrofocus, zwart

The Pentax Papilio II 6.5x21 stands apart from conventional binoculars by combining true macro capability with a compact, lightweight design. Unlike typical models that struggle below two meters, this Porro-prism instrument focuses down to an astonishing 50 cm, revealing the intricate world of insects, flowers, and textures with remarkable clarity. Its 6.5x magnification and 21 mm objectives strike an ideal balance between field of view and portability, making it equally suited for nature study, museum visits, and travel.

Highlights

• Unique close-focus capability: sharp images from just 0.5 m away
• BaK-4 Porro prisms with fully multi-coated lenses for bright, high-contrast views
• Wide 7.5° angular field of view (131 m at 1000 m) for easy subject acquisition
• Twist-up eyecups and long 15 mm eye relief for comfortable viewing with or without glasses
• Weather-resistant polycarbonate body (JIS Class 4 equivalent) for outdoor reliability

In daily use

Weighing only 446 g, the Papilio II is light enough for all-day carry yet rugged enough for field use. The center focus wheel is smooth and precise, while the right-eye diopter adjustment ensures a perfectly matched image for your eyes. The interpupillary distance range of 56–74 mm accommodates a wide variety of users. The 3.2 mm exit pupil delivers a bright image even in subdued light, and the 48.8° apparent field of view provides an immersive experience. Whether observing butterflies in a garden or inspecting fine details in a workshop, this binocular excels where others fall short.
