Persoonlijke radio Hama DR1001 Digitaal DAB DAB+ FM 5W TFT-display

The HAMA DR1001 is a personal digital radio with alarm clock that receives analogue FM and digital DAB/DAB+ broadcasts and also supports Bluetooth streaming. It features a large 4.3" TFT colour display, an easy-to-read keypad with oversized characters and a simple control dial for intuitive operation. The radio offers two configurable alarm memories, four direct station presets and automatic time synchronisation via the radio network.

Advantages

The device provides hiss-free digital reception via DAB/DAB+ while maintaining conventional FM compatibility. Its user interface is deliberately simplified: large buttons, a clear layout and a single-step menu reduce the need to navigate nested menus. Bluetooth receiver functionality allows wireless streaming from smartphones, tablets or computers. A mono loudspeaker rated at 5 W delivers balanced sound, and a pull-out extendable antenna improves FM/DAB reception. All on-device labels and menu guidance are in German.

To stream audio from a phone or tablet, enable Bluetooth on the source device and pair it with the radio's Bluetooth receiver. Set alarms through the straightforward menu: choose an alarm time, select alarm sound (radio or alarm tone), assign it to one of the two memory slots and set the repeat pattern.

Recommendations

For best reception, position the radio near a window and fully extend the antenna. Use the Bluetooth receiver for short-range streaming (typical smartphone range). Keep the display brightness at a comfortable level for extended battery life if operating on internal power or portable use.
