Plafondluidspreker Omnitronic CST-508 2-weg 8 Ω 50 W

The Omnitronic CST-508 is a ceiling-mounted two-way speaker with 8 Ω nominal impedance and a 50 W power rating. Designed for fixed installation in ceilings, it provides balanced audio reproduction from a compact enclosure and a two-way crossover arrangement. Intended for background music, paging and light commercial audio, the speaker integrates into retail, office and public environments where discreet ceiling installation and reliable daily operation are required.

Advantages

The two-way design separates low and high frequencies to produce a clearer sound image and improved intelligibility for speech and music. An 8 ohm impedance and 50 W power handling make the unit compatible with a wide range of amplifiers and mixers used in commercial audio systems. The ceiling-mount format reduces visual impact and allows even sound coverage across a room when multiple units are installed. The construction supports consistent performance under continuous use in public and workplace settings.

How to use

Install the CST-508 in a suitably sized ceiling cut-out following the mounting guidelines for flush ceiling speakers. Connect the speaker to an amplifier or audio source that matches the 8 Ω impedance and does not exceed the 50 W power rating per unit. For even coverage in larger areas, plan speaker spacing and orientation to reduce acoustic shadows and ensure intelligible paging. Adjust amplifier output and any installed equalization to achieve the desired balance between speech clarity and background music levels.

Recommendations

For optimal performance use matching-quality amplifiers and source equipment, verify impedance compatibility, and avoid driving the speaker beyond its rated power. In installations requiring voice alarm or emergency systems, follow local regulations and use certified components where required. Regularly inspect mounting hardware and wiring connections to maintain reliable operation.
