Platte netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 75515-SLY CAT 7 U/FTP, afgeschermd getwiste paren, plat design

ShiverPeaks 75515-SLY CAT 7 U/FTP flat network cable is designed for high-performance Ethernet and structured cabling where space-saving routing and improved EMI protection are required. The cable uses an overall braided shield combined with foil-shielded individual twisted pairs (U/FTP), enabling stable signal transmission for Gigabit and higher-speed LAN environments. Its flat profile reduces bulk and allows discreet installation under carpets, along skirting boards, or within tight conduits while maintaining mechanical flexibility.

Advantages

The flat U/FTP construction provides enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference compared to unshielded cables, reducing crosstalk and improving transmission stability in electrically noisy environments. The slim, flat design simplifies routing in confined spaces and helps keep installations tidy without sacrificing conductor quality. The cable supports higher bandwidths typical for CAT 7 specifications and is compatible with standard RJ45 terminations when appropriately shielded connectors are used.

Suitable for

• Home and office Gigabit Ethernet connections
• Server rooms and data closets requiring improved EMI protection
• Installations under carpets, along walls, or in narrow cable channels
• Structured cabling where a low-profile cable is needed

Key specifications

• Category: CAT 7 performance for high-bandwidth data transmission
• Shielding: Overall braid with foil-shielded individual twisted pairs (U/FTP)
• Design: Flat, low-profile construction for space-saving routing
• Conductor type: Twisted pairs suitable for Ethernet signaling
• Typical use: Supports Gigabit Ethernet and higher-speed LAN applications
• Length example: available in 5.0 m (varies by offering)
• Color: yellow (as a visible install option)

How to use

Prepare cable ends and terminate with compatible shielded RJ45 connectors and shielded patch panels to preserve the U/FTP performance. Avoid sharp bends and maintain a minimum bend radius as advised for flat cables to prevent conductor stress. Route the cable along baseboards, through low-profile channels, or under carpets; secure with adhesive clips or low-profile clips that do not pinch the cable. When connecting to networking equipment, ensure the connector shield is properly tied to chassis ground for optimal EMI suppression.

Recommendations

For best performance, use shielded RJ45 connectors and maintain continuous cable shielding to grounding points. Keep the cable separated from high-voltage power lines and large electrical devices to minimize residual interference. Inspect terminations for proper contact and shielding continuity after installation, and avoid excessive twisting or compression when routing under carpets.
