Platte telefoonkabel ShiverPeaks BS76107 100 m zwart

The ShiverPeaks BS76107 100m flat telephone cable in black is designed for reliable voice and data connections in residential and commercial environments. Its flat profile enables discreet routing along baseboards, under carpets, or behind furniture while maintaining signal consistency across the full 100-metre length. The cable is suitable for connecting telephones, modems and other analog or low-bandwidth communication devices where stable transmission and minimal interference are required.

Advantages

The flat geometry reduces bulk and simplifies installation in narrow gaps, minimizing visible cabling. Durable outer insulation protects internal conductors from wear and mechanical stress, supporting long-term use. The cable construction is intended to maintain consistent signal quality and low attenuation over its length, reducing call noise and signal loss during everyday operation.

Suitable for

• Fixed telephone connections in homes and offices
• Connecting analog modems and fax machines
• Discreet cable routing along skirting boards and under carpets
• Temporary or permanent installations where low-profile cabling is needed

Key specifications

• Length: 100 metres
• Colour: Black
• Form factor: Flat profile for low-height routing
• Intended use: Telephone and low-bandwidth communication devices
• Construction: Insulated conductors within a rugged outer sheath

How to use

Measure the required run and route the flat cable along the chosen path, ensuring it lies flat against the surface to avoid bends that could stress the conductors. Use adhesive cable clips or flat cable trunking and secure at regular intervals to prevent movement. Terminate the cable with appropriate telephone plugs or connectors compatible with the device being connected, following standard wiring colour codes. When cutting to length, strip insulation carefully to avoid nicking conductors and use suitable crimping or termination tools.

Recommendations

Avoid running the telephone cable parallel and in close proximity to high-voltage power cables to reduce the risk of interference. For permanent installations, use mounting clips or flat conduit and keep slack for future re-termination. Inspect terminations periodically and replace the cable if outer insulation shows significant wear or damage.
