Power over Ethernet-switch Veracity VCS-4P1-MOB 4-poorts PoE mobiele unit

Veracity VCS-4P1-MOB is a compact 4-port Power over Ethernet (PoE) mobile switch designed to deliver both data and power to IP devices at temporary, mobile or remote sites. The unit consolidates network connectivity and power distribution into a single, portable device, enabling quick deployment of cameras, access points and other PoE equipment without the need for separate power sources or complex cabling. Its small form factor and straightforward operation make it suitable for field testing, short-term CCTV installations and any situation where a portable PoE distribution point is required.

Advantages

The mobile PoE switch provides simultaneous power and data over standard Ethernet cables, reducing installation time and cable complexity. Its compact design supports easy transport and rapid setup at changing locations. The device is built to offer reliable PoE delivery to multiple devices from a single point, simplifying temporary network topologies and minimizing the number of power outlets needed. Simple connectivity and straightforward operation support faster commissioning and troubleshooting in the field.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Temporary CCTV and surveillance deployments
• Field testing and diagnostic setups for IP cameras and network devices
• Mobile installations in vehicles, temporary sites or outdoor events
• Rapid deployment for site surveys and proof-of-concept demonstrations

Key specifications

• Number of Ethernet ports: 4 PoE-enabled ports
• PoE capability: supplies power over Ethernet to connected devices
• Form factor: compact, portable mobile unit suitable for temporary deployment
• Connectivity: standard Ethernet ports for combined data and power delivery
• Use environment: designed for mobile, temporary or remote site applications

How to use

Connect the unit to a suitable power source and attach up to four PoE-capable Ethernet devices using standard network cables. Connect one port to your network uplink if data aggregation with an existing network is required, or use the switch as an isolated PoE distribution point for standalone devices. Ensure connected devices are within the power budget supported by the unit and verify link/activity LEDs (if present) to confirm connections. For mobile operations, place the switch in a secure, ventilated location and route cables to avoid stress or damage during movement.

Recommendations

Use high-quality, shielded or outdoor-rated Ethernet cabling when deploying in harsh or outdoor environments to maintain reliable data and power transmission. Verify the total PoE power requirements of connected devices before connecting multiple units to ensure the switch's power budget is not exceeded. For extended mobile use, secure the unit to prevent movement and allow adequate ventilation to avoid overheating.
