Powerline-adapter Devolo Magic 2 WiFi 6 next — 2400 Mbit/s (powerline), 3000 Mbit/s (mesh)

Devolo Magic 2 WiFi 6 next combines Powerline data transmission and mesh Wi‑Fi into a single adapter kit, delivering up to 2400 Mbit/s over existing electrical wiring and mesh Wi‑Fi performance up to 3000 Mbit/s. The kit extends both wired and wireless network coverage through the building's power lines, enabling multiroom streaming, low-latency online gaming and stable connectivity for smart home devices. Setup is designed to be plug-and-play: connect one adapter to your router and additional adapters into power outlets to expand the network without new cabling.

Advantages

The Devolo Magic 2 WiFi 6 next provides fast wired Powerline throughput and modern Wi‑Fi 6 mesh capabilities in one system, reducing dead zones and improving bandwidth distribution across rooms. Using existing electrical wiring avoids the need for drilling or new Ethernet runs, while automatic mesh management and seamless roaming maintain stable connections for moving devices. The kit supports high-bandwidth activities such as HD and 4K streaming, multiplayer gaming and multiple simultaneous device connections.

Suitable for

• Homes and apartments where Wi‑Fi signal is weak in some rooms
• Multiroom HD/4K streaming and video conferencing
• Online and cloud-based gaming requiring low latency
• Connecting smart home devices, IP cameras and media players

Key specifications

• Powerline maximum throughput: up to 2400 Mbit/s
• Mesh Wi‑Fi combined performance: up to 3000 Mbit/s
• Wi‑Fi standard: Wi‑Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) compatible
• Network expansion method: uses existing electrical wiring for wired backhaul plus wireless mesh
• Typical use: multiroom streaming, gaming, smart home connectivity

How to use

To set up, connect the primary adapter to your router with an Ethernet cable and plug it into a power outlet. Plug additional adapters into power outlets in rooms where extended coverage is needed; the devices establish a Powerline link automatically and form a mesh Wi‑Fi network. Devices can connect via Wi‑Fi or by Ethernet to adapters that include LAN ports. Installation requires no additional wiring and is completed by following the on‑screen or app‑based setup prompts for name and security settings.

Recommendations

Place adapters in wall outlets rather than power strips or surge protectors for best Powerline performance. For optimal Wi‑Fi coverage, position mesh adapters in open areas away from large metal objects and cordless phone bases. If using multiple adapters, verify firmware is updated and use the manufacturer's app to manage network settings and monitor link quality.
