Rackafdekking EFB Elektronik PRO-DCH80B.TS zwart staal 800x1000x40 mm

The EFB Elektronik PRO-DCH80B.TS rack cover is a steel panel designed to protect and finish the front or rear openings of 19-inch equipment racks. Finished in black, the cover measures 800 mm wide, 1000 mm deep and 40 mm high, providing a rigid barrier against dust ingress and accidental contact while maintaining a uniform appearance for server rooms, telecom cabinets and AV installations.

Advantages

Constructed from steel for structural strength and longevity, the rack cover delivers stable mechanical protection for mounted equipment. The black finish ensures visual consistency with standard rack systems and reduces reflections in controlled environments. Its compact 40 mm height and standard-width profile make it compatible with common 19-inch rack installations, while the 1000 mm depth offers full coverage for extended chassis or open bays.

Suitable for

• Sealing unused front or rear rack bays in server rooms
• Protecting equipment from dust and accidental contact in network cabinets
• Providing a uniform appearance in AV and broadcast racks
• Temporary closure during installation or maintenance work

Key specifications

• Material: steel
• Color: black
• Width: 800 mm
• Depth: 1000 mm
• Height: 40 mm
• Mounting: 19-inch rack compatible profile

How to use

Position the rack cover over the intended opening of the rack, aligning the cover with the rack rails and adjacent panels. Secure the cover according to the rack cabinet's fastening method — typically using captive screws, rack bolts or the cabinet's existing mounting points. Ensure that the cover sits flush to adjacent panels to minimize gaps and prevent dust passage. For temporary use, verify that fastening elements are tightened sufficiently to prevent movement but can be removed easily when access to the rack is required.

Recommendations

Use the steel rack cover in indoor, climate-controlled environments. For improved dust protection, combine with brush strips or gaskets at the edges. Avoid exposing the cover to corrosive atmospheres; if used in high-humidity environments consider periodic inspection for surface corrosion and recoat as needed.
