Redundante voeding SILVERSTONE SST-GM800-2UG V2 800W redundante PSU-module

The SILVERSTONE SST-GM800-2UG V2 is an 800W hot-swappable redundant power supply module designed for systems that require continuous power and high availability. Engineered to fit compatible server chassis and network enclosures, this redundant PSU module provides an on-demand backup power source that engages when the primary supply fails or is removed for maintenance. The form factor and connectors are optimized for compatibility with equipment that supports modular redundant power architectures.

Advantages

This redundant power supply module offers hot-swap capability for easy replacement without shutting down the host system, reducing service interruptions. The 800W output provides sufficient capacity for many server and network configurations while supporting fault tolerance and improved uptime. Its modular design simplifies maintenance and integration into enclosures that accept this type of redundant unit, enabling planned maintenance and rapid response to power faults.

Suitable for

• Server chassis and rackmount systems that accept modular redundant power units
• Network equipment and appliances requiring backup power capability
• High-availability and fault-tolerant installations where uninterrupted operation is critical
• Environments that need hot-swappable power modules for planned maintenance

Key specifications

• Rated power output: 800 W
• Module type: Hot-swappable redundant PSU module
• Use case: Backup / redundant power for continuous operation
• Compatibility: Designed for server/network chassis that accept this modular form factor
• Installation: Front or rear accessible hot-plug insertion depending on chassis

How to use

Install the module into a compatible chassis slot following the host equipment manufacturer’s guidelines. Ensure the system supports redundant power modules and that the slot is powered or enabled before insertion. For replacement, pull the failed module out after verifying the host supports hot-swapping, and slide the replacement module into the slot until it seats and locks. Monitor the system indicators or management interface to confirm proper operation after installation.

Recommendations

Use this module alongside a matched primary power supply or an identical redundant unit to ensure balanced load sharing and reliable failover. Verify chassis compatibility and airflow requirements prior to installation, and follow safe handling procedures to avoid electrostatic discharge and avoid operating the unit outside specified temperature and ventilation conditions.
