Reely Messing platte staaf 500 x 2 x 1 mm - modelbouwprofiel

Model builders and DIY enthusiasts often need a slim, rigid metal strip to reinforce frames, fabricate brackets, or create custom linkages. The Reely brass flat bar, measuring 500 mm long, 2 mm wide, and 1 mm thick, is a solid rectangular profile cut from raw brass. Its natural golden colour and unfinished surface make it easy to solder, drill, or bend for precise adjustments in scale models, RC vehicles, or craft projects.

Why choose it

Brass offers excellent machinability and good corrosion resistance, making this profile easy to cut, file, and shape without special tools. Its conductivity also suits small electrical contacts or grounding strips in hobby electronics.

Ideal use cases

• Scratch-building model aircraft or boat frames
• Making custom hinges, brackets, or linkages
• Adding structural reinforcement to plastic kits
• Crafting decorative metal inlays or edging

Good to know

The bar is supplied as a single 500 mm length, ready to be cut to size. Because it is raw brass, it will develop a natural patina over time unless polished or coated.
