Reflector Walimex 17833 rechthoekig aluminium zwart

The Walimex 17833 rectangular aluminium reflector panel offers a mobile, robust solution for shaping light in studio and on-location photography. With a rolling aluminium frame and a rotatable reflector frame, it can serve as main, high, effect or background lighting. The panel measures 150 x 200 cm and includes a white diffuser and a black/silver cover for flexible light control. Height adjustment and locking brakes on the casters allow precise positioning and safe use on inclines or in windy conditions.

Advantages

The reflector is flexible and mobile thanks to its rolling frame and rotatable reflector mount, enabling varied lighting angles. Its large 150 x 200 cm surface provides soft, even illumination suitable for portraits and high-key backgrounds. Covers attach with Velcro and elastic corner bands for quick swapping and a close-fitting, low-wrinkle finish. The aluminium construction ensures durability for repeated studio and location use.

Suitable for

• Portrait photography (soft, even frontal or overhead fill)
• High-key background illumination and backlighting
• Studio and on-location shoots where mobility is required
• Situations requiring quick cover changes and durable equipment

How to use

Roll the panel into position and lock the brakes to prevent movement. Adjust the height and rotate the reflector frame to achieve the desired angle and quality of light. Attach the appropriate cover: use the white diffuser (Velcro) for soft, even illumination or the black/silver cover (elastic corners) to increase contrast or control spill. For background use, position the reflector behind the subject and adjust distance to control brightness and fall-off.

Recommendations

For portrait work, position the panel slightly above eye level and tilt it toward the subject for soft, flattering light. When using outdoors, lock the brakes and consider additional anchoring in windy conditions despite the built-in locks. Swap covers as needed to adapt from high-key backgrounds to contrast-rich effects.
