Renkforce RF-5587610 4-bay SATA-harde-schijfbehuizing, 2,5/3,5 inch, USB 3.2 Gen 1, aluminium, 80mm ventilator

Most multi-bay enclosures either sacrifice build quality for portability or force you into a RAID configuration you don't need. The Renkforce RF-5587610 takes a different path: a solid aluminum chassis with active cooling, four independent SATA bays, and straightforward USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity. It presents each drive separately to your operating system, so you can mix capacities, brands, and even form factors without any hardware RAID complexity. Whether you're consolidating media libraries, performing offline backups, or building a high-capacity JBOD pool, this enclosure keeps your drives cool, accessible, and hot-swappable.

Highlights

• Four tool-free drive bays for 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA HDDs/SSDs
• USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) interface with up to 5 Gbps transfer speed
• Integrated 80 mm fan and aluminum housing for efficient heat dissipation
• Hot-swap and plug-and-play support — no drivers required
• Individual drive mode (JBOD) — each disk appears as a separate volume
• Supports drives up to 16 TB per bay (total up to 64 TB)
• External AC power adapter included for stable multi-drive operation
• LED indicators for power and drive activity

In daily use

The RF-5587610 sits comfortably on a desk or shelf, its aluminum body acting as a passive heatsink while the 80 mm fan quietly exhausts warm air. Drives slide into the front bays without screws or trays; a simple latch mechanism holds them securely. Connect the included USB Type-A to Type-B cable to your computer, switch on the power, and each installed drive appears as a standard removable disk. Because the enclosure does not implement RAID, you retain full control over partitioning, file systems, and backup software. Hot-swapping lets you rotate drives for off-site backups or quickly clone data between disks. The external power brick ensures all four bays receive stable voltage even under heavy simultaneous load, something bus-powered enclosures cannot guarantee.
