SCART-adapter ShiverPeaks 94035 met 3× RCA (cinch) en 4-pins MiniDIN-aansluiting

The SCART adapter ShiverPeaks 94035 converts a single SCART socket into three RCA (Cinch) plugs and a 4-pin MiniDIN connector, enabling connection between older audio/video devices and equipment that accepts composite audio/video or S‑Video style MiniDIN inputs. It supports analogue composite video and stereo audio signals passed through the SCART interface to separate RCA jacks and a 4‑pin MiniDIN plug for devices with compatible inputs. The compact adapter is intended for use with legacy AV sources such as set‑top boxes, DVD players, retro game consoles and older television sets that require direct cable conversion rather than active signal processing.

Advantages

The adapter provides a straightforward passive conversion from SCART to three RCA connectors and a 4‑pin MiniDIN without the need for power or active electronics. Its simple construction preserves standard analogue signal wiring for composite video and stereo audio, allowing quick, tool‑free connections between different generations of AV equipment. The small form factor and fixed cable lead make it convenient for temporary or semi‑permanent setups where space is limited and a direct wired interface is preferred.

Suitable for

• Connecting SCART‑equipped DVD players, set‑top boxes or VCRs to TVs or monitors with RCA composite inputs
• Linking retro gaming consoles to displays that use 4‑pin MiniDIN or RCA connectors
• Integrating legacy AV sources into AV receivers, capture devices or switchers with composite inputs
• Temporary testing, troubleshooting or simple installations where signal conversion without power is sufficient

Key specifications

• Input: SCART socket (analogue audio/video)
• Outputs: 3× RCA (Cinch) for composite video and stereo audio
• Additional output: 4‑pin MiniDIN connector (S‑Video style wiring)
• Signal type: Passive analogue conversion for composite video and stereo audio
• Power: Passive device — no external power required
• Cable form factor: Fixed lead from SCART to connectors; compact adapter body

How to use

Connect the SCART plug to the SCART socket on the source device, ensuring a secure fit. Plug the RCA connectors into the corresponding composite video (usually yellow) and stereo audio (usually red and white) inputs on the display or capture device, or insert the 4‑pin MiniDIN into the matching S‑Video style input if available. Select the appropriate input on the receiving device and power on both source and display. No driver or external power is required; if the image or sound is absent, check cable seating and input selection on the display and ensure the source is configured to output composite or SCART audio/video.

Recommendations

Use this adapter in setups where passive signal routing is sufficient. For long cable runs, professional installations, or where signal levels need buffering or format conversion (for example to component or HDMI), use an active converter or signal amplifier to avoid degradation. Keep contacts clean and avoid excessive bending at connector junctions to maintain reliable analogue connections.
