Scart-kabel ShiverPeaks 97543-5SPP, 1,5 m lengte, SCART stekker-naar-stekker

The ShiverPeaks 97543-5SPP Scart cable, 1.5 m length, is a male-to-male SCART lead designed to connect legacy AV devices that use SCART sockets. This cable carries analog composite video and stereo audio signals between equipment such as set-top boxes, DVD players, older televisions and AV receivers. With a 1.5 metre length it is suitable for short to medium distance connections within home entertainment setups where reliable analog signal transfer is required.

Advantages

This SCART male-to-male cable provides a straightforward plug-and-play connection without the need for additional adapters. The fixed 1.5 m length balances flexibility and tidiness behind AV cabinets. It preserves analog audio and composite video signals for compatible devices, enabling picture and sound transmission between older equipment. The simple construction reduces signal loss over the intended distance and ensures mechanical compatibility with standard SCART sockets.

Suitable for

• Connecting set-top boxes to older televisions with SCART inputs
• Linking DVD players, VCRs or retro consoles to AV receivers or TVs
• Short-to-medium length connections behind entertainment units or media cabinets
• Temporary setups for testing or troubleshooting SCART-equipped devices

Key specifications

• Cable type: SCART male-to-male
• Length: 1.5 metres
• Signal carried: analog composite video and stereo audio
• Connector style: 21-pin SCART standard connectors
• Intended use: indoor AV connections for consumer electronics

How to use

Insert each SCART plug firmly into the corresponding SCART socket on your devices, ensuring the keyed connector orientation matches the socket. Use the cable to route signals from a source device (for example, a set-top box or DVD player) to a display or audio device with a SCART input. Avoid bending the cable sharply at the connectors; allow some slack behind equipment to prevent strain. If a device has multiple SCART sockets, consult the device manual to select the correct input or output for video and audio pass-through.

Recommendations

For optimal results, keep the cable run within the specified length and avoid running it alongside high-power electrical cables to minimise potential interference. When connecting older devices, verify the output format (composite video, RGB, or switched signals) and set device outputs accordingly to match the display capabilities.
