Schroef Cimco 190055 — verzinkte metaalschroef voor vezelplaten, 60 mm lengte, 5 mm schroefdraaddiameter, 1 stuk

Cimco 190055 is a single galvanized metal screw designed for reliable fastening in fibreboard applications. The screw is 60 mm long with a 5 mm thread diameter, providing sufficient embedment and holding power for furniture assembly, interior joinery and repair tasks. Galvanized steel construction offers basic corrosion resistance for indoor use and environments with limited moisture exposure. The product is supplied as one piece per pack, intended for situations where a single replacement or sample fastener is required.

Advantages

The screw's galvanization reduces the risk of surface rust and extends service life compared with bare steel in typical indoor conditions. A 60 mm length gives good penetration into medium-thickness fibreboard while the 5 mm thread diameter balances shear strength and ease of driving. The metal construction ensures dimensional stability and predictable holding performance under standard loads.

How to use

Select an appropriate pilot hole for the 5 mm thread diameter when working with dense fibreboard to prevent splitting; the pilot hole diameter and depth should match board thickness and screw length. Use a screwdriver or power driver set to a suitable torque to avoid overdriving and stripping the head. Drive the screw until the head is flush or slightly countersunk depending on the desired finish; for visible surfaces, consider using a suitable plug or filler to conceal the head.

Recommendations

For best results, store the screw in a dry environment and use it in interior applications or locations with low humidity. When fastening into very thin or brittle fibreboard, reinforce the fixing with an adhesive or use a backing plate to distribute load. Avoid exterior exposure unless additional corrosion protection is applied.
