shiverpeaks BS08-41071-4 Cat8.1 netwerkkabel, blauw, 10 m, F/FTP, RJ45, 40 Gbps, 2000 MHz

Data centers and high-performance workstations demand cabling that keeps pace with massive data throughput. The shiverpeaks BS08-41071-4 Cat8.1 network cable delivers exactly that: a 10-meter blue link capable of 40 Gbit/s and 2000 MHz bandwidth, ideal for 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T Ethernet applications. Its F/FTP shielding—foil around each twisted pair plus an overall foil—blocks electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, ensuring stable connections even in dense server racks or industrial environments. Gold-plated RJ45 connectors resist corrosion and maintain signal integrity over repeated insertions, while the stranded 26 AWG copper conductors provide flexibility for routing around corners and through cable management. Whether you're connecting switches, routers, NAS devices, or high-end workstations, this cable is backward compatible with Cat6a, Cat6, Cat5e, and Cat5 networks, making it a versatile choice for upgrades and new installations alike.

Why choose it

This cable is built for speed and reliability. The Cat8.1 rating ensures it meets stringent performance standards for 25G and 40G Ethernet, while the robust shielding protects against signal degradation in noisy environments. The stranded conductors make it more flexible than solid-core cables, reducing the risk of breakage during installation. Gold-plated contacts provide a stable, low-resistance connection that lasts. Plus, its backward compatibility means you can use it now and be ready for future network upgrades without replacing your cabling.

Ideal use cases

• Data centers and server rooms requiring 25G/40G connections
• High-performance workstations for video editing, 3D rendering, or large data transfers
• Network backbone links between switches and routers
• Home networks with high-bandwidth demands, such as 4K/8K streaming or online gaming
• Industrial environments with electromagnetic interference

Good to know

The cable is RoHS and CE certified, meeting European safety and environmental standards. It operates reliably in temperatures from -20°C to 60°C, making it suitable for a range of indoor environments. The PVC jacket provides durability and flexibility, while the blue colour aids in cable identification. For optimal performance, ensure connectors are fully seated and avoid sharp bends that could damage the internal conductors.
