SHIVERPEAKS BS30-39075 Actieve optische USB-A-naar-USB-C-kabel, 10 m, 10 Gbps, zwart

Unlike standard copper USB cables that struggle with signal integrity beyond a few meters, this 10-meter active optical cable from SHIVERPEAKS maintains full 10 Gbps SuperSpeed USB 3.2 Gen 2 throughput over its entire length. The hybrid construction pairs optical fiber for data with copper conductors for bus power, so you get the reach of fiber without sacrificing plug-and-play convenience. It is directional by design: the USB-A connector plugs into your host computer or laptop, while the USB-C end connects to a peripheral, docking station, or display adapter. Because the data path is optical, the cable is immune to electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference, making it a reliable choice for electrically noisy environments such as machine rooms, medical facilities, or industrial automation cells.

Highlights

• Active Optical Cable (AOC) technology: optical fiber data transmission, copper power lines
• USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) performance over 10 meters — no signal boosters or repeaters needed
• Directional connection: USB-A male (host) to USB-C male (device)
• Backward compatible with USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 2.0, and USB 1.1 devices
• Plug & Play — no drivers or external power required
• High EMI/RFI resistance thanks to optical data path
• Durable black jacket suitable for both fixed installations and frequent re-routing

In daily use

This cable shines in scenarios where a peripheral must sit far from the host system. Connect a USB-C docking station, external SSD, or 4K webcam across a conference room without worrying about dropouts. For VR and AR setups, the 10-meter reach lets you move freely while the headset remains tethered to a powerful workstation. Machine vision cameras on production lines benefit from the interference immunity, and digital signage players can be tucked away in a closet while the display sits in a public area. Bus power is limited to standard USB 5V/900mA, so devices requiring USB Power Delivery or higher wattage will need their own power source; however, most data-centric peripherals, hubs with external power, and active cables themselves operate flawlessly.
