Netwerkkabel rood S/CONN 08-64084 15m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable Red S/CONN 08-64084 15m Cat6 S/FTP is a 15-metre Ethernet cable designed for high-speed network connections. It uses Category 6 wiring and S/FTP shielding to provide reliable data transmission with reduced electromagnetic and crosstalk interference. The cable is terminated with RJ-45 plugs featuring gold-plated contacts to improve signal transfer and resist corrosion. Its red jacket makes cable identification easier in multi-cable environments and adds a visible color code for structured installations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to deliver improved protection against external noise and near-end crosstalk compared with unshielded alternatives. Category 6 construction supports higher data rates and is suitable for gigabit Ethernet and many modern network applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts reduce contact resistance and improve long-term connector durability. The 15 m length provides flexibility for routing between equipment racks, desks, switches and wall outlets while maintaining signal integrity.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections in offices and data closets
• Home network wiring where reduced interference is required
• Patch panel and switch interconnects in structured cabling
• Temporary or permanent connections between network devices up to 15 metres apart

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 15 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 plugs
• Contact finish: gold-plated contacts
• Jacket colour: red

How to use

Connect each RJ-45 plug to the corresponding Ethernet port on your devices, such as switches, routers, network cards or patch panels. Ensure plugs are inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends, sharp edges and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. For installations in shielded environments, ensure proper grounding of connected equipment to maintain shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to power lines or large electrical equipment. Maintain the recommended bend radius and do not exceed the 15 m length between endpoints for optimal signal quality. Use the red jacket as part of your colour-coding scheme to identify critical links or specific network segments.
