Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-40031 blauw 2 m Cat8 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-40031 Blue 2m Cat8 S/FTP is a 2-meter Ethernet cable designed to support high-speed network connections using the Cat8 standard. The cable employs S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors with gold plating to ensure reliable signal transmission and improved resistance to corrosion. Its blue jacket provides a visible, organized appearance for desks, racks, and structured cabling installations where short-range, high-bandwidth links are required.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines an overall screen with individually shielded pairs to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk in electrically noisy environments. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve contact conductivity and reduce oxidation over time, contributing to stable connections. The 2 m length offers flexibility for patching between switches, routers, and wall outlets without excess cable slack. The Cat8 performance rating supports high-frequency transmission suitable for demanding data applications.

Suitable for

• Short-range connections between servers, switches, and patch panels in data centers and server rooms
• High-bandwidth desktop or workstation connections requiring Cat8 performance
• Structured cabling runs within racks or premises where shielded cables are recommended
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference where S/FTP shielding is beneficial

Key specifications

• Length: 2 m
• Category: Cat8
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall shield with individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Color: Blue

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end of the S/CONN 08-40031 cable to the network port of your device (router, switch, network card or patch panel) and the other end to the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and kinks in the cable and keep it separated from high-voltage power lines to minimize interference. Use the 2 m length to bridge short distances in racks or desktop setups without excess coiling.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8 S/FTP cable for short, high-bandwidth links where shielding and low interference are important. Inspect connector contacts periodically for debris and ensure cable routing prevents mechanical strain on the RJ-45 plugs.
