Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-40081 blauw 15 m Cat8 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-40081 Blue 15m Cat8 S/FTP is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed for demanding wired networks. Compliant with the Cat8 standard and equipped with S/FTP shielding, this 15-meter cable provides stable, high-speed data transmission with reduced electromagnetic interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure consistent contact and low signal loss, while the blue jacket offers clear visual identification for structured cabling in home or office environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines an overall screen with individually shielded pairs to minimize crosstalk and external interference, supporting reliable transmission at higher frequencies. Cat8 specification supports elevated bandwidth and lower latency compared with earlier categories, enabling fast connections for modern network equipment. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs improve corrosion resistance and contact quality for long-term dependable performance. The 15 m length balances reach and flexibility for typical workstation-to-switch or patch panel connections.

Suitable for

• High-speed wired LAN installations in offices and small data closets
• Home networks where low latency and high bandwidth are required for streaming, gaming, or large file transfers
• Connecting switches, routers, servers, NAS devices, and patch panels
• Structured cabling where clear color coding and neat runs are preferred

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8 performance level suitable for high-frequency transmission
• Shielding: S/FTP – overall screen plus individually shielded twisted pairs
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Length: 15 meters for extended reach between network equipment
• Cable color: Blue for easy identification in structured setups

How to use

Connect one gold-plated RJ-45 plug to your network device (switch, router, NAS or PC) and the other end to the corresponding port on the opposite device or patch panel. Ensure both devices support the required network speeds and that connectors are fully inserted until they click. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends, tight staples or pinching points and maintain separation from high-power electrical lines to preserve shielding effectiveness. For best results, test link speed and perform a continuity or certification test when integrating into critical installations.

Recommendations

Use the Cat8 S/FTP cable where maximum shielding and high data rates are needed within the 15 m distance. For permanent installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable management, avoid excessive bending radii, and periodically check connectors for corrosion or damage.
