Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-41023 groen 1m Cat8.1 F/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-41023 Green 1m Cat8.1 F/FTP is a 1 metre patch cable designed to meet Category 8.1 performance requirements. It features fully shielded pairs with an overall foil shield (F/FTP) and RJ‑45 connectors on both ends to support high-speed Ethernet links. The cable's green jacket provides visual differentiation in structured cabling installations and data centres while maintaining the electrical and mechanical characteristics required for demanding network environments.

Advantages

This Cat8.1 cable offers high bandwidth capability and improved electromagnetic interference protection due to its F/FTP construction, with individually shielded twisted pairs and an overall foil. The RJ‑45 terminations ensure backward compatibility with lower category ports while enabling up to multi‑gigabit and short‑reach 25/40 Gbps connections where supported. The 1 metre length minimises excess cable in patching scenarios and the coloured jacket eases cable management and identification.

Suitable for

• Short‑range high‑speed uplinks between switches and patch panels
• Server rack patching where space and cable organisation are important
• Workstation or device connections requiring robust shielding against EMI
• Environments needing clear visual cable identification

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1 performance class
• Shielding: F/FTP — overall foil with individually shielded pairs
• Connector type: RJ‑45 on both ends
• Length: 1 metre
• Conductor arrangement: 4 twisted pairs
• Jacket colour: green

How to use

Connect one RJ‑45 plug to the network device or switch port and the other plug to the corresponding patch panel or endpoint. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch engages to provide a secure physical and electrical contact. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference; maintain bend radius recommendations from typical structured cabling standards to preserve signal integrity.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8.1 F/FTP cable for short patching runs within racks and between adjacent equipment where high bandwidth and shielding are required. Avoid using excessively long runs beyond the recommended distances for the intended Ethernet speed, and inspect connectors for damage before installation to ensure reliable performance.
