Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-41052 geel 5m Cat8.1 F/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-41052 Yellow 5m Cat8.1 F/FTP is a 5-metre high-performance Ethernet cable designed for demanding network environments. Compliant with Cat8.1 specifications and featuring F/FTP shielding, this cable supports very high data transfer rates and robust protection against electromagnetic interference. The cable terminates in RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to ensure stable signal transmission, while its bright yellow jacket helps with quick identification and organized cable runs.

Advantages

This Cat8.1 F/FTP cable provides enhanced shielding and pair-level foil to minimise crosstalk and external interference, ensuring consistent throughput in dense installations. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts offer reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance for long-term use. The 5 m length balances flexibility and reach for rack-to-desk or equipment-to-switch connections. The yellow outer sheath improves visual management in patch panels and cable trays.

Suitable for

• High-speed data centres and server rooms
• Professional network switches and patch panels
• High-bandwidth applications such as 4K/8K video streaming and large file transfers
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference
• Visible cable runs where color-coding simplifies maintenance

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat8.1
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil with individually foil-screened pairs)
• Length: 5 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Outer jacket colour: Yellow
• Application: Ethernet, high-frequency data transmission

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the network device and the other to a switch, patch panel or router port. Ensure connectors are fully seated until they click to secure a stable connection. Route the cable avoiding tight bends and sources of strong electromagnetic noise where possible to maintain signal integrity. For permanent installations, secure the cable with appropriate cable management accessories without compressing the jacket.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable within typical ambient temperature ranges and avoid running it parallel to mains power cables for long distances. Verify that connected equipment supports Cat8.1 or compatible high-speed operation to achieve expected throughput. Regularly inspect connectors for damage and replace the cable if the jacket or contacts show visible wear.
