Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-41085 zwart 15 m Cat8.1 F/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-41085 Black 15m Cat8.1 F/FTP is a 15-metre network patch cable designed for high-performance wired connections. Complying with Cat8.1 standards and featuring F/FTP shielding, the cable is built to support high data rates and reduce electromagnetic interference. It comes in a black jacket with RJ-45 connectors and gold-plated contacts for consistent signal transfer and corrosion resistance.

Advantages

This Cat8.1 F/FTP cable offers improved crosstalk protection and reduced external interference thanks to foil shielding around individual pairs and an overall shield. The RJ-45 terminations with gold-plated contacts provide stable connectivity and lower contact resistance. Its 15 m length suits installations where longer reach is needed without adding intermediate patch panels, while the durable outer jacket provides mechanical protection and a professional appearance.

Suitable for

• High-speed LAN connections in home or small office networks
• Server room interconnects and network equipment links
• Streaming, gaming, and large file transfers requiring stable wired throughput
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is important

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1 network cable
• Shielding: F/FTP (foil overall with individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 15 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: black jacket

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to your network device (router, switch, modem or network interface) and the other end to the target device. Ensure both connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it away from strong sources of electrical noise where possible. For rack installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or ties to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat8.1 F/FTP cable for short to medium runs up to 15 m and avoid tightly coiling the cable. Maintain proper cable management to reduce physical stress and interference. When connecting to devices, verify that the network hardware supports the higher frequencies associated with Cat8.1 to fully utilize the cable's capabilities.
