Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-44035 2m Cat8.1 S/FTP zwart

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-44035 2m Cat8.1 S/FTP Black is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed for demanding network environments. Meeting the Cat8.1 standard, this 2-meter cable provides shielded twisted pair construction with overall and individual pair shielding (S/FTP) to reduce electromagnetic interference and support stable, high-speed data transmission. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends and finished in black, it is suitable for professional and home installations where signal integrity and compact length are required.

Advantages

Shielded S/FTP construction minimizes crosstalk and external interference, improving reliability for high-bandwidth applications. The Cat8.1 rating supports higher frequencies and faster data rates compared with lower-category cables. Two-meter length balances flexibility and minimal excess cabling for tidy setups. RJ-45 connectors ensure compatibility with a wide range of switches, routers, patch panels and network devices.

Suitable for

• Short-distance connections between switches, patch panels and servers in racks
• High-speed home or office network links for streaming, gaming and large file transfers
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference where shielded cables are preferred
• Structured cabling runs where a 2 m length is required for clean cable management

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat8.1
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall shield plus individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Length: 2 meters
• Color: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to your network device (switch, router, network card or patch panel) and the other end to the corresponding port of the second device. Ensure connectors are fully seated into ports until they click to establish a secure physical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive mechanical stress; maintain bend radius recommended for high-category cables to preserve signal performance. For rack installations, use cable ties or organizers to keep runs tidy and avoid interference from power cables.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8.1 S/FTP cable for short, high-bandwidth connections where shielding and signal integrity are important. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines and maintain proper bend radius to ensure optimal performance.
