Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-64081 blauw 15 m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-64081 Blue 15 m Cat6 S/FTP is a 15-metre shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable Gigabit-class data transmission. Constructed to Cat6 standards with S/FTP shielding, this cable reduces external electromagnetic interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk to maintain stable throughput. It terminates in RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance. The blue jacket allows easy identification in structured cabling environments and home networks.

Advantages

The cable’s S/FTP (shielded overall braid plus individually foil-shielded pairs) construction provides enhanced protection against noise and signal degradation in electrically noisy environments. Cat6 specification supports higher frequencies and delivers consistent performance for Gigabit Ethernet and many standard network applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure lower contact resistance and longer connector life. The 15 m length offers flexibility for connecting devices across rooms without the need for additional couplers or patch panels.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops, and network printers to routers or switches
• Wired home networks and small office Ethernet setups
• Temporary or permanent patching in server rooms and network closets
• Audio/video streaming, online gaming, and video conferencing requiring stable wired connections

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 15 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Outer jacket color: Blue

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your router, switch or modem and the other end into the Ethernet port of the target device such as a PC, NAS or smart TV. Ensure connectors are fully seated until you hear or feel the click of the latch. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and excessive pressure; maintain minimum bend radii recommended for Ethernet cables to preserve performance. For wall routing or conduit use, verify the cable meets any local fire-rating requirements before installation.

Recommendations

For best results, avoid running the cable parallel to power lines for long distances to minimize electromagnetic interference. When used in mixed-shielded environments, ensure proper grounding of shielded components to take full advantage of the S/FTP construction. Test connections with a cable tester after installation to confirm wiring and performance.
