Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-64083 groen 15 m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-64083 Green 15 m Cat6 S/FTP is a 15-metre Cat6 patch cable designed for wired Ethernet connections. It features S/FTP (S-STP) shielding around the cable and individual pairs, and comes terminated with RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to support consistent signal transmission. The cable's green jacket provides visual identification in structured cabling environments while delivering the performance expected from Cat6 cabling for networks up to Gigabit speeds.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction reduces electromagnetic interference by combining an overall braided shield with foil on each twisted pair, improving noise immunity in environments with adjacent cables and electronic equipment. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts resist corrosion and help maintain low contact resistance for reliable connections. With a 15 m length, the cable balances reach and flexibility for patching between network equipment and workstations or for linking switches and patch panels.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, printers and networked peripherals to switches or routers
• Linking switches, patch panels and network equipment within racks or cabinets
• Structured cabling in offices, server rooms and home networks
• Environments where reduced crosstalk and EMI are required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Length: 15 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braided shield + foil-wrapped pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: green
• Supports Ethernet speeds up to Gigabit-class over Cat6 cabling

How to use

Route the cable between devices ensuring it is not tightly bent or crushed; maintain minimum bend radius recommended for Ethernet cables to preserve performance. Insert the RJ-45 plugs firmly into the corresponding ports on network devices until the latch clicks. For permanent installations, secure the cable with appropriate cable management accessories and avoid running parallel to power lines for long distances to minimize electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

For best results, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable in shielded or high-density installations where EMI might affect signal quality. Test connections after installation with a cable tester or network diagnostic tools to confirm continuity and performance. When planning cable runs, allow extra length for routing and future reconfiguration.
